Construction Materials Lab Technician

Location: Onsite at the Bloomington, Minnesota office, United States

Compensation: $43,600–$65,400 per year

What you will do

• Receive, log, and process concrete and soil samples.
• Perform laboratory tests on soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
• Assist with AMRL and CCRL regulatory standards assessments.
• Support the laboratory quality system and enter laboratory data.
• Maintain laboratory equipment in good operating condition and complete other laboratory tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of construction materials laboratory experience.
• Ability to work independently and follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to lift 50–75+ pounds.

Nice to have

• ACI, MnDOT, or related industry certifications.
