Senior Process Utilities Engineer IV

Location: Houston, TX, USA; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Lead process utilities design efforts and manage budgets for large, complex projects.
• Coordinate with project managers on proposals, staffing plans, schedules, clients, internal teams, vendors, and trade partners.
• Review technical documents for quality and compliance with project standards, regulations, and building codes.
• Direct and mentor engineering staff and deliver internal discipline training.
• Develop utility room layouts, pipe-routing space plans, capacity plans, and expansion strategies.
• Manage vendor packages and support HAZOPs, HCCPs, 3D model reviews, site walkdowns, commissioning, and startup.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 15+ years of experience for Senior-level candidates; the position may also be filled at Lead level with 10+ years of experience.
• Experience in design firms, operating companies, or construction within the life sciences sector.
• Strong knowledge of industry regulations and local building codes.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, coordination, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Houston, Texas, in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Broad experience with life sciences facilities, systems, and equipment.
