Health and Safety Specialist (Remote)

What you will do

• Support EHS policies, procedures, and programs covering electrical safety, confined spaces, JHAs, lone working, SPCC, HazCom, and refrigerants.
• Identify hazards and communicate findings to the Health & Safety Manager and site leadership.
• Track corrective actions, assist with incident documentation and investigations, and maintain EHS records.
• Support monthly reporting, audit preparation, inspections, training records, and PPE compliance monitoring.
• Prepare toolbox talks and safety alerts and participate in job hazard analyses, risk assessments, and safe work planning.
• Collaborate with operations, infrastructure, engineering, procurement, vendors, employees, and supervisors to reinforce workplace safety.

Requirements

• Degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 1–3 years of professional experience supporting EHS management systems and programs.
• Knowledge of EHS management systems and programs.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, documentation, and follow-through skills across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Proficiency with databases and data management tools, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work remotely and autonomously while maintaining clear communication with distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Safety certifications such as ASP, GSP, OSHA 10-hour, or NFPA 70E.
