Product Designer - Barbie (Toy Design)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; onsite, full-time

Salary: USD 80,000–100,000 per year

What you will do

• Identify and develop new Barbie product opportunities based on consumer insights, emerging trends, and technologies.
• Create product and graphic designs for fashions, accessories, playsets, and advertised product lines.
• Communicate toy concepts through 2D sketches and/or 3D models.
• Collaborate with marketing, development design, engineering, packaging, and cost engineering partners.
• Present concepts to design, marketing management, and creative departments.
• Manage early design and development phases while building consensus across disciplines.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Fashion Design, Toy Design, or an equivalent field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, and 2D computer programs.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Portfolio demonstrating design excellence and strong problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Alias or Rhino 3D.
• Knowledge of current fashion trends, the fashion doll category, and the competitive landscape.
