Associate Designer (Jewelry and Soft Accessories)

Location: New York, NY, USA; hybrid work model.

Salary: $64,200–$79,600 per year.

What you will do

• Develop seasonal concepts and select color stories with the design manager.
• Design jewelry, scarves, socks, sunglasses, hats, and other seasonal accessories.
• Prepare presentation boards with illustrations, CAD artwork, fabrications, materials, and samples.
• Research seasonal trends, themes, colors, raw materials, and styling.
• Execute seasonal line lists and meet product development calendar deadlines.
• Collaborate with Technical Design, Production, and Merchandising to maintain accurate specifications, quality, and design vision from concept through store delivery; conduct fittings and CAD colorways for prints and patterns.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of design experience, including accessories design.
• Degree in Apparel Design or Product Design; BA in Design preferred or required as stated.
• Strong illustration, sketching, presentation, color, communication, and creative skills.
• Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics and trims, and lab dips.
• Expertise in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Ability to collaborate, follow through proactively, and meet deadlines and product calendars.
