Design Engineer (Electro & Mechanical)

What you will do

• Design electro-mechanical products that satisfy customer specifications.
• Lead mechanical design activities within cross-functional New Product Development teams.
• Complete drawings, product documentation, specifications, and releases in internal systems.
• Plan and execute product validation, prototype builds, and production launch activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply, suppliers, external customers, and global engineering teams.
• Research corrosion and characterize welding for manufacturing and product performance improvements.

Requirements

• University degree, such as a bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering, materials, mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
• Advanced knowledge of basic electrical circuits, microelectronic assembly, statistical methods, process control, and product testing.
• Understanding of current, voltage, resistance, and inductance, plus awareness of HV safety principles and standards.
• Familiarity with welding, brazing, soldering, adhesive bonding, machining, stamping, molding, forming, assembly, and material handling.
• Strong communication, organization, planning, time management, teamwork, and collaboration skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
