Senior Lead Design Engineer (Centrifugal Compressors)

What you will do

• Lead structural design and development of centrifugal compressors for regionalization and new product development programs.
• Perform stress, vibration, and thermal-deformation analysis to assess and mitigate design risks.
• Optimize designs for performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability while advancing design standards and guidelines.
• Lead component development, verification, functional testing, and technical issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate technical reviews and cross-functional design activities, ensuring checklist compliance and program schedules.
• Release bills of materials, part drawings, and engineering specifications through the engineering change process, and support post-launch product improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• More than 10 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 7 years with a master’s degree in centrifugal compressors or turbomachinery.
• Strong knowledge of centrifugal compressor structures, design principles, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling tools, GD&T, digital simulation tools, and FMEA methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, ownership, cost-awareness, and engineering capabilities.
• Effective communication skills in English and the ability to work across functional and global engineering teams.

• Knowledge of rotor dynamics and aerodynamics.
