Mechanical Project Coordinator (Industrial)

Location: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; travel to AIM facilities and project sites across Canada and the United States may be required

Salary: CAD 60,000–68,000 per year

What you will do

• Support the planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of mechanical and industrial capital and maintenance projects.
• Develop project initiation documents, scopes of work, schedules in Microsoft Project, budgets, forecasts, quantity take-offs, and cost analyses.
• Prepare tender packages, RFQs, bid requests, contractor evaluations, equipment comparisons, and procurement documentation.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers, consultants, internal stakeholders, site visits, inspections, progress reviews, and project meetings.
• Monitor project execution, risks, costs, changes, safety, environmental compliance, engineering standards, and contractor performance.
• Support equipment testing, commissioning, startup, PSRs, regulatory approvals, purchase orders, service requests, and project closeout documentation.

Requirements

• Advanced Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, construction, or maintenance projects; co-op and internship experience are considered.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, piping, conveyors, material handling systems, maintenance practices, construction, and project management.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents, including electrical and hydraulic drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD; a valid Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to travel across Canada and occasionally to the United States.
