Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Remote - USA; travel up to 50% with short notice.

What you will do

• Drive qualification of existing and prospective suppliers for new suppliers, products, and production processes.
• Support supplier quality management activities, including first-piece approvals, production inspections, validations, PFMEA and control plans.
• Lead containment, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions for supplier-related failures.
• Develop suppliers through improved inspection, mistake-proofing, capacity, technology, and quality management initiatives.
• Implement and maintain hirify.global prefabrication production methodologies and technologies.
• Act as the liaison between North American prefabrication facilities, suppliers, sourcing, and internal customers to resolve quality issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, including supplier qualification, management, correction, and development.
• Experience managing supplier quality for fabricated products and general assembly.
• Strong knowledge of facility audits, QMS guidelines, quality engineering principles, statistical analysis, and related software.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment, electronic systems, MS Office, and Minitab.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• NDT Level 2 certification.
• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer, or equivalent international certification.
