Project Controls Manager (Transportation)

Salary: $120,000–$175,000 annually

What you will do

• Manage project accounting, financial operations reporting, accounts receivable, work in progress, forecasting, KPIs, utilization, and project status reporting for the New York/Northeast area.
• Work with Project Managers to establish and manage project financial tracking and control systems using Earned Value Management.
• Support project financial reporting, Cost to Complete and Estimates-to-Complete preparation, billing rate updates, invoicing, and collections.
• Review project budgets, performance, staffing requirements, rate caps, payment terms, invoicing cycles, and contract-specific requirements to improve profitability and cash flow.
• Coordinate billing and collections processes with Operations, Accounting, clients, subconsultants, and project teams.
• Assist with contract administration, subcontract administration, change order development, dashboards, presentations, and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or engineering preferred.
• At least 10 years of similar or related professional experience, including at least 5 years in finance and/or project accounting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of A/E/C financial systems and business dashboards preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, listening, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
