Payroll Officer (Retail)

Location: Tallaght, County Dublin, Ireland; four days in the office and one day working from home

Salary: €40,000–€42,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage weekly and monthly ROI and NI payrolls for more than 2,000 employees.
• Check employee hours and process payroll accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable requirements.
• Liaise with Store Managers to resolve exceptions involving paperwork, hours, holidays, and sick pay entitlements.
• Calculate holiday pay, sick pay, and other statutory payments.
• Process new starters and leavers and verify employee records with Human Resources.
• Answer queries about timesheets, payslips, and other payroll matters.

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of previous experience in a Payroll Administrator role.
• In-depth understanding of tax and employment rules and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, numeracy, organisation, and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to work under pressure toward deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Kronos and/or Megapay.
