VAT Accountant

Location: Hybrid position based at the European Shared Service Centre in Cork, Ireland

Salary: EUR 42,420–67,872 per year

What you will do

• Oversee and audit transactional data across multi-entity, multi-currency supply chains.
• Identify and resolve ERP and invoice-processing system errors in collaboration with IT and operational teams.
• Lead balance sheet and system account reconciliations for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.
• Post journal entries and monitor intercompany transactions.
• Support indirect tax compliance and local and cross-border VAT reporting.
• Act as an operational contact for internal and external auditors and maintain finance workflow controls.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Finance or VAT experience in a multinational or similar corporate environment.
• Degree-level or higher qualification in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Financials or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLookups.
• Experience analyzing complex financial data, executing internal controls, and delivering accurate reporting under tight deadlines.
• Strong adaptability, initiative, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
