Project Engineer - API Pilot Plant (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Salary: $65,500–$125,500 per year

What you will do

• Plan and execute small- to medium-sized capital projects across scope development, cost estimation, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, startup, and closeout.
• Manage project scope, cost, schedule, regulatory requirements, end-user needs, and good engineering practices.
• Design process equipment, facilities, and utilities, including equipment specifications, procurement, installation, and participation in FAT and SAT activities.
• Support commissioning and qualification through user, system, and functional requirements and installation and operational qualification protocols.
• Provide technical support for the API pilot plant by troubleshooting equipment, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with process engineers, chemists, and operations technicians on new processes, plant improvements, investigations, process safety, and EHS&E goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Desired 2+ years of relevant engineering or operational experience.
• Working knowledge of process equipment and system design, P&ID development, equipment sizing and selection, equipment specifications, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Ability to analyze problems of moderate scope and determine appropriate actions within established procedures.
• Strong teamwork, relationship-building, verbal communication, and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Technical experience in healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biologics, or similar industries.
• Additional postgraduate education contributing toward the desired experience.
