Project Accountant

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States — 2218 Bryan Street; full-time onsite

What you will do

• Support Project Managers with contract documents, change orders, contract modifications, approvals, and project accounting matters.
• Interpret project contracts and billing terms, and address overdue work in progress and accounts receivable.
• Set up and review project budgets, billing terms, revenue recognition, and project modifications in line with company policy and FASB ASC 606.
• Prepare and review draft, final, and supporting invoice packages for billable projects.
• Communicate monthly project variances and help resolve financial and billing issues.
• Review subconsultant invoices for correct coding and approval, and train billing and project accounting staff on Deltek Vision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 3 years of project cost accounting experience.
• Experience managing medium- to large-scale projects with changing scope, timelines, and consultants.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, collaboration, and client-focused problem-solving skills.
• High integrity and commitment to ethical, sustainable, and innovative solutions.

• Experience in the architecture and engineering consulting industry.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision.
