Software Engineering Manager (Cloud-Native Observability)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a software engineering team building an enterprise observability and monitoring platform.
• Deliver roadmap capabilities with predictable sprint execution, dependency management, delivery metrics, and risk control.
• Guide technical decisions for services, UI workflows, APIs, integrations, and scalable modular platform architecture.
• Ensure release readiness through test coverage, CI/CD standards, quality gates, change governance, and operational readiness.
• Partner with Product Owners, Architects, SRE, Platform Engineering, and related subsystem teams.
• Drive automation, technical debt reduction, reliability improvements, incident resolution, and engineering productivity initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience managing software engineering teams delivering enterprise platforms, cloud-native applications, or large-scale products.
• Strong Agile delivery, SDLC, release management, stakeholder management, and people leadership experience.
• Understanding of microservices, REST APIs, integration patterns, modular design, containers, and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Experience with CI/CD, test automation, quality gates, SRE practices, SLIs/SLOs, incident management, and production support readiness.
• Working experience with Java/Spring Boot, Python or Go, Angular, PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Grafana or Kibana.
• Knowledge of secure application delivery, including RBAC, tenant isolation, secrets, certificates, vulnerability management, and compliance-driven environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with observability or monitoring platforms in telecom, cloud, infrastructure, or enterprise IT.
• Experience with infrastructure or deployment automation using GitLab CI, Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools.
• Experience designing dashboards, analytics, topology, workflow, or self-service platform journeys.
