Engineering Manager (AWS)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams across multiple distributed workstreams.
• Own strategic technology program delivery, including roadmaps, execution plans, milestones, and risk mitigation.
• Provide technical leadership for AWS architectures covering compute, storage, networking, serverless, databases, messaging, and security.
• Drive modernization through microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Establish engineering practices, Agile delivery standards, quality metrics, SLAs, and operational excellence improvements.
• Advise senior client stakeholders on technology strategy, engineering roadmaps, and transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years managing engineering teams and delivering enterprise-scale cloud-native solutions.
• Advanced AWS expertise, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and IAM.
• Hands-on experience with microservices, distributed systems, API design, serverless computing, and messaging platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Node, Go, React, or TypeScript.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Advanced AWS security and compliance knowledge.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Cloud cost optimization, performance tuning, and high-availability distributed systems experience.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
