Machinery Maintenance Technician II - Night Shift

Location: Memphis, TN, United States; all work must be performed on-site.

What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and maintain industrial manufacturing machinery using technical documentation, hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls and faults, measure AC and DC voltage, current, and power, and perform basic wiring.
• Install and maintain mechanical drive systems, motors, bearings, couplings, shafts, belts, pulleys, chains, and sprockets.
• Maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, compressor, and vacuum-pump systems, including pumps, hoses, valves, cylinders, filters, and regulators.
• Perform basic welding-related work and use appropriate MIG, TIG, and welding safety equipment.
• Evaluate corrective maintenance, support preventive maintenance scheduling, and collaborate with the maintenance team on problem-solving and backup support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and a Vo-Tech certificate in a skilled maintenance trade such as electrical, millwright, plumbing/pipefitting, HVAC, welding, or sheet metal.
• 1–3 years of basic mechanical experience and hands-on experience with equipment controls.
• Basic knowledge of NEC, NESC, UL/ETL codes, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, electronic communication, file management, diagnostic software, and preventive maintenance software.
• Ability to work on-site in a dusty factory environment with extreme heat and cold, at heights exceeding 3 feet, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or additional education for career development.
• Material handling, Lock Out/Tag Out, lifting and rigging, preventive or predictive maintenance certifications, or journeyman/trades licensing.
