Mechanic

Location: DeRidder, Louisiana, United States; onsite

Salary: $26.58–$28.85 per hour

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance services on tractors, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Carry out tire repairs and replacements while on call.
• Complete minor repairs involving air leaks, lighting, batteries, cables, and trailers.
• Use shop tools, service truck tools, computers, and Mechanics Workstation work-order software.
• Learn and follow required safety procedures and seek guidance on unfamiliar repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of tractor/trailer or heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• Ability to perform services and minor repairs with guidance and little supervision.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions.
• Strong customer service skills and consistent on-time performance.

Nice to have

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Class A CDL can result in increased pay but is not required.
