Senior Strategic Communications Coordinator

Location: Riverside, California, United States; full-time, regular position. Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time and independently reach project locations is required.

Salary: $78,000–$111,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Support communication and engagement plans, including target audience strategies.
• Write talking points, media releases, social media content, project materials, newsletters, and video scripts.
• Coordinate public meetings, hearings, open houses, workshops, advisory committees, and stakeholder meetings.
• Manage meeting logistics, vendors, workback schedules, and outreach material distribution.
• Collaborate with social media, web, graphics, and video specialists to produce outreach tools.
• Identify stakeholders, maintain distribution lists and comment-management databases, coordinate responses, and report outreach activities.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience leading social media campaigns and writing for web, brochures, newsletters, social media, and other media.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, client-service, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while handling multiple assignments.
• Bachelor’s degree and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred; travel and independent transportation to project locations are required.
