Mobile Mechanic (Automotive)

Location: Lost Hills, California, USA

Pay: $22.80 per hour

hirify.global operates within a vertically integrated California agricultural processing business producing and packaging pistachios and almonds.

What you will do

• Repair vehicles and equipment, including engines, transmissions, clutches, suspension, steering, fuel, ignition, electrical, brake, HVAC, and ABS systems.
• Diagnose malfunctions, conduct pre- and post-repair operational tests, and document complaints, causes, corrections, mileage, hours, warranty parts, and work orders.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on trucks, lifts, heavy equipment, diesel equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts, and off-road machinery.
• Complete trailer rewiring, lighting repairs, tire service, scanner-based troubleshooting, and component replacement.
• Weld, cut, grind, measure, fabricate parts, and repair equipment structures while assessing cracks and other damage.
• Support harvest preparation, safety activities, housekeeping, continuous improvement, and other assigned maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of related experience recommended.
• High school diploma or GED and trade or technical certification recommended.
• Valid California driver’s license required.
• Ability to safely operate job-related machinery and equipment and follow LOTO, JSA, GMP, safety, inspection, and documentation procedures.
• Intermediate to advanced tablet, phone, and computer skills required.
• Ability to communicate issues clearly, prioritize tasks, and work with limited supervision.
