First Line Risk & Control Senior Analyst (Banking)

Location: Phoenix, AZ — CityScape; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Support and execute first-line risk programs and business-unit risk activities in line with risk appetite and corporate strategy.
• Prepare risk and control updates by collecting data from multiple sources and facilitate process-review meetings.
• Document process maps, narratives, policies, and procedures using process-mapping software.
• Identify risks and controls, assess control effectiveness, and document mitigation actions or gaps.
• Coordinate with risk subject-matter experts on third-party, regulatory, legal, and other risk factors.
• Serve as a communication channel between Risk Management and business units while delivering projects on time.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit, or a similar field.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Intermediate knowledge of banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, or commercial banking products.
• Intermediate knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, regulations, and industry standards.
• Experience in compliance, operations management, audit, risk management, or a related financial-services field.
• Experience documenting process maps and identifying risks and controls in business processes.
