What you will do

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the skilled nursing community as the on-site executive.
• Serve as the primary contact for staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies, and the public.
• Maintain budget accountability and cash flow while minimizing budget variances and deficits.
• Hire, train, discipline, and terminate employees in line with corporate policy.
• Maintain local, state, and federal licenses and lead staff meetings.
• Protect resident rights and represent the community in social, civic, state, and professional organizations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in the senior housing industry.
• Strong management skills and the ability to work harmoniously with staff.
• Professional communication and listening skills when working with residents, guests, and coworkers.
• Ability to work with elderly, ill, disabled, emotionally upset, and occasionally hostile residents.
• Compassion, patience, adaptability, and the ability to switch tasks quickly.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
