TL;DR
Sr Principal Signal Integrity Engineer (Semiconductor): Designing and validating signal and power integrity solutions for high-speed interconnects across PCBs, packages, MLO structures, and probe cards with an accent on electrical modeling, simulation, and measurement correlation. Focus on optimizing reflections, crosstalk, jitter, and power distribution using EM and circuit tools, while developing validation plans and supporting next-generation semiconductor test products.

Location: Beaverton, Oregon, United States; day shift

Salary: $115,800–$151,935 per year, depending on experience, skills, and background.

Company

hirify.global provides semiconductor test and measurement technologies covering characterization, modeling, reliability, design debugging, qualification, and production testing, with facilities across Asia, Europe, and North America.

What you will do

  • Perform signal and power integrity analysis for high-speed interconnects across PCBs, packages, MLO structures, and probe cards.
  • Develop and validate electrical models for transmission lines, vias, connectors, and power distribution network structures.
  • Define stack-ups, impedance targets, routing constraints, design guidelines, and best practices for layout and electrical design teams.
  • Use EM and circuit simulation tools to build channel models, analyze eye diagrams, and run what-if studies.
  • Define and execute validation plans using VNA, TDR, TDT, and high-speed measurement setups, including simulation-to-measurement correlation and root-cause analysis.
  • Support new product development for probe cards and load boards, improve modeling workflows, and contribute to next-generation architecture and roadmap development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a master’s degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
  • Strong knowledge of transmission line theory, power integrity, crosstalk, and signal degradation mechanisms.
  • Experience with HFSS, ADS, SIwave, PowerSI, PowerDC, SPICE, Allegro, or Cadence tools.
  • Hands-on experience with VNA, TDR/TDT, and high-speed measurement setups.
  • Experience with PAM4, SerDes, PCIe, HBM, advanced packaging, probe cards, or fine-pitch interconnects; scripting with Python or MATLAB.

Culture & Benefits

  • Collaboration with engineering teams and customers across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage.
  • 401(k) with company match and employee stock purchase plan.
  • Paid time off, flexible spending or savings accounts, and quarterly profit-sharing bonuses.
