Director, Global Health, Safety & Security

Location: Onsite at 5600 Avenida Encinas, Carlsbad, California, USA

Salary: USD 173,000–222,495 per year, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Develop and execute global health, safety, and security programs across headquarters, distribution centers, retail locations, supply chain operations, and international markets.
• Lead and mentor the Health, Safety, & Security team while establishing performance standards and operational best practices.
• Drive injury prevention, workplace incident reporting and investigations, claims support, return-to-work programs, and cost-containment strategies.
• Own the enterprise physical security strategy, including GSOC, access control, CCTV, incident response, and global risk assessments.
• Oversee crisis management and business continuity planning, including cross-functional responses to workplace violence, employee injuries, and major events.
• Partner with Internal Audit, Asset Protection, Facilities, Legal, People & Culture, and International teams while managing international vendors.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in health and safety, security, risk management, or a related field.
• Leadership experience in multi-site or global operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and international safety regulations.
• Experience managing workers’ compensation programs, claims environments, investigations, crisis management, or security operations.
• Experience in retail, supply chain, or other multi-location environments, with the ability to build scalable programs and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Data-driven, strategic, and operational approach to incident reduction, cost management, and translating risk into business impact.
