Head of AI

What you will do

• Define and execute the organisation-wide AI roadmap and drive adoption across product, engineering, and business functions.
• Identify high-value AI use cases, assess business impact, ROI, delivery feasibility, and value creation.
• Lead AI initiatives from concept and proof of concept through production.
• Design AI architectures and integration patterns, and evaluate build-versus-buy decisions for AI solutions and platforms.
• Review technical concepts, challenge engineering decisions, and support or oversee prototypes.
• Collaborate with leadership, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Business stakeholders while monitoring modern AI platforms and market trends.

Requirements

• Strong experience in AI engineering, AI product development, or AI architecture.
• Experience in a SaaS, software product, or technology-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of modern AI platforms, LLMs, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Experience taking AI initiatives from ideas to production and combining strategy, product thinking, and technical execution.
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders, challenge engineers, and support technical decision-making.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to work with executive teams.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Head of AI in a SaaS or product organisation.
• Background as an AI Product and Engineering Lead, AI Innovation Lead, Principal Engineer, or Technical Architect with AI product experience.
