Location: Hybrid (Berlin, Germany or Alphen Aan Den Rijn, Netherlands). Ability to work from anywhere within the EU for up to 20 days per year.

What you will do

• Design and implement end-to-end AI-driven product features using LLM APIs.
• Build and optimize RAG systems, including document parsing, semantic chunking, and retrieval pipelines.
• Develop scalable and maintainable backend systems using FastAPI and Python.
• Design and implement agent orchestration systems for complex, multi-step legal workflows.
• Create infrastructure for evaluations and benchmarking using tools like Langfuse.
• Collaborate with Product and Legal Engineering teams to prototype and refine new AI use cases.

Requirements

• Deep experience building products that integrate LLMs via APIs.
• Proficiency with Python and FastAPI.
• Strong understanding of software engineering and security best practices.
• Experience with modern AI developer tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot.
• English: C1+ (Excellent communication skills) required.
• Location: Must be able to work hybrid in Berlin or Alphen Aan Den Rijn.

Nice to have

• Fluency in German.
• Experience with TypeScript and frontend development.
