Senior Capacity Planner (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Own and improve finite capacity models across work centers, tool groups, and interconnected assembly, test, and sub-fab value streams.
• Translate SIOP and MPS outputs into resource-constrained production plans covering operational, labor, and facility limitations.
• Build demand, NPI ramp, tool availability, and labor constraint scenarios with recommendations covering cost, service, throughput, and margin trade-offs.
• Identify and prioritize bottlenecks, lead debottlenecking initiatives, and coordinate decisions across Operations, Planning, Engineering, Facilities, HR, and Sourcing.
• Integrate capacity planning into NPI, ramp, industrialization, and manufacturing-readiness activities.
• Develop capacity dashboards, govern critical planning data, lead capacity reviews, and coach planners on constrained-planning practices.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a Master’s degree, 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional planning initiatives with measurable business impact.
• Expertise with finite capacity planning systems such as SAP PP/DS, Oracle, Kinaxis, OMP, or equivalent ERP/APS tools.
• Advanced analytical skills in scenario modeling, data visualization, and decision support using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Knowledge of routings, BOMs, cycle-time modeling, OEE/TPT, yield impacts, factory control systems, and SIOP-to-S&OE execution.
• Must work onsite in Livermore, California, on the regular day shift.

Nice to have

• Semiconductor or advanced manufacturing experience, including cleanroom and tool-based production environments.
• Industrial engineering experience with line balancing, takt design, and time studies.
• Lean or Six Sigma experience.
