BSN Instructor - Mental Health - Full-time Faculty (Nursing Education)

Location: Fremont, California, USA; campus-based position

Salary: USD 115,000–USD 120,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare, administer, and grade course examinations and final evaluations with other instructors.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences at assigned healthcare facilities.
• Evaluate student performance against clinical learning outcomes and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain attendance records, skills check-off forms, clinical records, and program data.
• Support instructional planning, faculty orientation, quality initiatives, committee activities, and student advising.
• Use online learning activities and current technologies to enhance teaching.

Requirements

• Hold a valid, active license issued by a State Board of Registered Nursing.
• Have a master’s degree in nursing or a higher degree from an accredited institution, including relevant nursing or education coursework.
• Have at least four years of direct patient-care experience as a registered nurse.
• Have at least one year of clinical experience within the last five years and meet the clinical competency requirements defined in CCR Section 1420(c).
• Demonstrate expertise in psychiatric, geriatric, medical-surgical, pediatric, obstetric-gynecologic, or mental health nursing.
• No previous teaching experience is required; faculty development training is provided.
