Assurance Manager - Industrial Goods

Location: Houston, United States; full-time, onsite role. Travel of approximately 25% may be required depending on client assignments.

Compensation: $89,800–$170,500 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate audits of financial statements, disclosures, and other client deliverables.
• Assess engagement risks and design, communicate, and monitor audit procedures.
• Manage multiple engagement teams, supervise fieldwork, and monitor productivity and delivery schedules.
• Review work prepared by Senior Associates and Supervisors, provide performance feedback, and coach team members.
• Maintain year-round client relationships, address concerns, identify accounting matters, and communicate issues to Senior Managers and Partners.
• Support business growth, project profitability, industry training, professional development, and performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Accounting or an equivalent degree.
• CPA or CA certification.
• At least 5 years of current or recent experience in public accounting.
• At least 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience across multiple engagements.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and FASB or IFRS regulations, with a record of building sustainable client relationships.

Nice to have

• Experience directing and deploying staff and Senior Associates across simultaneous engagements.
• Fluency in French, German, Japanese, or Mandarin, including speaking, writing, and reading, together with knowledge of the relevant culture and business practices.
• Experience managing relationships with large non-U.S. companies operating significantly in North America.
