Hedge Fund Risk Manager (Hedge Funds)

What you will do

• Monitor and aggregate risk exposures across underlying hedge funds by strategy, asset class, and geography.
• Assess market, liquidity, concentration, leverage, and tail risks and communicate key risk and return drivers.
• Conduct quantitative due diligence on hedge fund managers using regression analysis and performance attribution.
• Maintain VaR, stress testing, and scenario analysis models, dashboards, and risk reports.
• Support portfolio construction through allocation sizing, diversification analysis, and identification of hidden correlations.
• Monitor risk metrics and early warning signals, including style drift and anomalies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in investment analytics, risk assessment, hedge fund research, or portfolio construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of investment strategies, VaR, stress testing, and risk modeling.
• Experience with MSCI RiskMetrics, Barra, or another risk engine.
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or SQL, with strong analytical, quantitative, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

• CFA or FRM certification.
