Associate Manager, Operations (Fintech)

Location: New York City, hybrid

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 USD annually, plus potential discretionary bonus and/or equity awards.

What you will do

• Provide middle- and back-office operational support to hedge fund clients across multiple investment strategies.
• Manage reconciliations for cash, positions, and market values, researching and resolving exceptions.
• Support trade settlements, fail control, wire processing, cash reporting, and payment confirmations.
• Serve as a liaison between clients, prime brokers, counterparties, and internal departments.
• Review work prepared by other operations staff and provide training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of back-office operations experience at a prime broker, administrator, hedge fund, mutual fund, investment advisor, or financial/retirement planner.
• Experience with equities, fixed income, repurchase agreements, futures, FX, mortgages, options, and corporate actions.
• Middle- or back-office experience covering trade settlements, fail control, reconciliation of trade discrepancies, and client servicing.
• Solid MS Excel knowledge and strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with OTC products.
