Electrical Designer III (HVAC)

What you will do

• Develop models, drawings, conceptual designs, parametric models, and assemblies for HVAC equipment.
• Use programming to automatically generate bills of materials and electrical schematics.
• Review electrical schematics and recommend design improvements.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, management, and creative departments to integrate electrical systems and determine design solutions.
• Support prototypes, production launches, manufacturing issues, and the development of electrical design standards.
• Support DFMEA, PFMEA, CFD, FEA, seismic evaluations, and testing while applying relevant safety standards.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree preferred, with 3–5 years of HVAC industry experience or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
• Strong electrical, controls, and design aptitude, including analysis of assemblies.
• Knowledge of safety standards including UL, CE, NEC, IBC, and NFPA.
• Effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical problem-solving, decision-making, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, sit or stand for up to 95% of working hours, and periodically visit manufacturing facilities.

Nice to have

• EPLAN ECE certification.
