Women's Health Nurse/Instructor - No Previous Teaching Experience Required!

Location: Campus position in Bakersfield, California, USA

Compensation: USD 55–70 per hour

What you will do

• Teach and supervise nursing students in classroom and clinical settings, with a focus on obstetrics.
• Develop, administer, and grade course materials and examinations in collaboration with faculty.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate attendance, grade, and clinical-skills records.
• Participate in curriculum development, quality improvement, program assessment, faculty meetings, committees, and student advising.
• Orient and mentor new faculty members in theory and clinical instruction.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet student learning objectives and facility requirements, and submit required reports to the program director.

Requirements

• Valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing.
• Master of Nursing or a higher degree from an accredited college or university, including coursework in nursing, education, administration, OB, pediatrics, or psychiatry.
• At least four years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• At least one year of clinical experience within the last five years; clinical teaching may count toward direct patient care, and clinical competency must meet CCR Section 1420(c).
• Expertise in psychiatric nursing, geriatrics, medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, or OB-Gyn.
• Previous teaching experience is not required.
