Complex Adult Health/Critical Care Clinical Faculty (Part-Time) (Nursing)

Location: Portland, Oregon, USA; onsite teaching in a clinical setting. Schedule typically consists of 12-hour rotations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for three to four consecutive days.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on the credit hours assigned to the course.

What you will do

• Teach Complex Adult Health and Critical Care content through onsite clinical experiences.
• Plan clinical assignments and supervise nursing students providing care to individuals or groups.
• Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback based on course objectives.
• Grade assignments, quizzes, tests, lab work, clinical paperwork, and other written work.
• Provide remediation support and maintain awareness of clinical agency policies and procedures.
• Communicate student and clinical-site issues to the course coordinator, dean, or assistant dean.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered registered nursing license in Oregon.
• At least two years of professional registered nursing experience within the past five years in the area of instruction.
• An Illinois RN license is required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.
