Clinical Specialist, Interventional Technologies (Medical Devices)

Location: US IL Remote; Chicago and greater Illinois territory

Salary: $86,800–$161,200 annual base pay, with potential sales incentives and additional benefits.

What you will do

• Provide clinical case coverage and collaborate with Account Managers to support patient outcomes and sales objectives.
• Serve as the primary clinical resource for product support, troubleshooting, procedural discussions, and in-service education.
• Meet with physicians, hospital staff, and administrative stakeholders to identify clinical needs and recommend feasible product solutions.
• Educate customers on the proper clinical use, benefits, therapies, and technology developments associated with company products.
• Coordinate local education and training programs, procedural troubleshooting, and staff education.
• Share account insights, competitive intelligence, opportunities, and inventory information with sales and clinical colleagues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of direct experience in the medical device industry.
• Strong clinical background in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, vascular care, or cardiac surgery.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent medical training such as RT, RCIS, Surgical Tech, RN, NP, or First Assistant.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, analytical, organizational, and customer-influencing skills.
• Experience engaging with electrophysiologists, interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, hospital administrators, and clinical staff.
• Ability to travel overnight approximately 25% of the time and perform physical activities including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with vascular closure and clinical education or training.
• Financial acumen related to product performance, clinical data, and health system economics.
