Solutions Engineer (Data Streaming)

Compensation: OTE $175,000–$200,000; base $125,000–$140,000; equity offered

What you will do

• Run structured proof-of-value engagements with technical success criteria and mutual action plans.
• Partner with Account Executives from technical discovery through deal close.
• Analyze customer databases, pipelines, cloud and on-premise infrastructure, and data movement challenges.
• Map customer architectures to CDC, Kafka, cloud warehouse, and replication solutions, including integration design.
• Present complex technical concepts and business impact to engineers, architects, executives, and other stakeholders.
• Share field insights with Product and Engineering, improve AI-supported workflows, and support post-sale customer handoffs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer in enterprise or similarly complex environments.
• Deep familiarity with at least one RDBMS, such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or DB2, including troubleshooting, logging, archiving, and query plans.
• Working knowledge of a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, Iceberg, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Experience with data-stack technologies including Kafka, dbt, and BI platforms.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and sufficient networking knowledge for technical solutioning.
• Strong communication, structured proof-of-concept management, curiosity, and a low-ego customer approach.
