Senior Solutions Engineer (Federal/Public Sector)

Location: Remote within the United States; must be physically based in the DC / Maryland / Virginia (DMV) area and able to travel to customer sites.

Compensation: $175,000–$264,000 base salary depending on tier, plus equity and commission. Solutions Engineers follow a 70/30 base salary-to-variable split.

What you will do

• Own the technical relationship with agency prospects throughout the pre-sales process and drive opportunities toward a technical win.
• Partner with Account Executives on qualification, demos, architecture discussions, proofs-of-concept, and deal progression.
• Demonstrate hirify.global from developer, administrator, and AI-agent perspectives, including in classified and air-gapped environments.
• Install and troubleshoot hirify.global on cloud platforms, AWS GovCloud, on-premises Kubernetes or VM infrastructure, and disconnected networks.
• Run proofs-of-concept for agentic and LLM-powered development workflows and translate technical outcomes into mission value.
• Feed agency insights, feature requests, and issues back to Engineering, Product, and Marketing; contribute documentation pull requests.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph at the time of hire and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Must be physically based in the DMV area and able to travel to customer sites.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer selling infrastructure or developer tooling, ideally to federal, defense, or intelligence customers.
• Experience with AI coding agents and assistants, LLM infrastructure, model proxies, and LLM routing layers, including adoption in classified environments.
• Deep Linux command-line skills; at least 3 years of hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience; and at least 3 years with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or on-premises and air-gapped Kubernetes deployments, plus networking across restricted DoD or intelligence-community environments.

Nice to have

• Direct experience deploying or supporting AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools.
• Prior military, intelligence-community, or federal civilian service.
• Experience with FedRAMP, DoD IL4/IL5, or ATO processes.
• Background in CI/CD, DevOps, platform engineering, or developer-platform products.
• Kubernetes, AWS, or related certifications.
