Women's Health Nurse - Instructor! No Previous Teaching Experience Required (Nursing Education)

Salary: $55–$70 per hour (typical hiring range: $55–$62.50 per hour)

What you will do

• Teach assigned nursing courses, labs, clinicals, and simulated clinical experiences using established course outlines and syllabi.
• Supervise, mentor, debrief, and evaluate students against clinical and course learning outcomes.
• Plan and oversee student clinical experiences at assigned healthcare facilities, ensuring assignments meet student and facility needs.
• Collaborate with instructors on examinations, final evaluations, faculty orientation, and instructional initiatives.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, clinical records, and required program reports.
• Provide student advising, office hours, and ongoing communication while participating in meetings, committees, and professional development.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
• Master of Science in Nursing required, or a BSN with previous teaching experience while currently enrolled in a master's program.
• Ability to meet the faculty requirements of the Board of Registered Nursing in California.
• Current nursing practice knowledge, student mentoring ability, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Documented background in educational methodology, relevant clinical practice, or distance education techniques.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• One year of adult instruction experience.
• Previous teaching experience is not required for candidates who meet the applicable nursing faculty qualifications.
