Manufacturing Execution Software Developer (Ignition/Python/SQL)

What you will do

• Design, document, develop, test, deploy, and support manufacturing execution solutions using Ignition MES, Python, SQL, and C++.
• Maintain frontend and backend codebases, delivering intuitive, responsive user interfaces and experiences.
• Build integrations across ERP, WMS, Salesforce, and other complex systems to maintain reliable data flows.
• Monitor applications, gather operational data, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support and user training.
• Conduct code, design, and peer reviews while following SDLC standards for system changes and deployments.
• Collaborate with users and engineering departments on requirements, testing, technical communication, and project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with at least two years of software development experience.
• Experience with Ignition programming, Python, SQL database development, and greenfield SCADA system design and implementation.
• Experience with multiple programming and industrial automation languages, including C++, Python, Java, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text.
• Strong object-oriented programming, software development, teamwork, and full-lifecycle SDLC skills.
• Experience leading small- to medium-sized projects and knowledge of advanced automation control systems.
• Understanding of MQTT and OPC fundamentals, connectivity troubleshooting, and SQL database pipelines.

Nice to have

• REST API experience and knowledge of JD Edwards and Oracle SOA.
• Experience with AI/ML, data lakes, cloud technologies, and Azure.
• Industrial networking, SCADA/HMI design, factory acceptance testing, or industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Analytical, data-driven, detail-oriented approach and willingness to learn new technologies.
