Senior Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer (C/C++)

What you will do

• Develop enhancements, updates, and changes for firmware subsystems, including application- and driver-level code.
• Execute test plans, identify issues, and debug assigned firmware problems.
• Contribute to the design and development of innovative, reliable, cost-effective firmware solutions for printing products.
• Collaborate with internal, worldwide, and outsourced development partners on firmware design, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Typically 10–16 years of professional experience.
• Expertise in firmware development using C/C++ and Assembly.
• Understanding of firmware and hardware design principles, testing, coding, and debugging procedures.
• Experience with source control, application lifecycle management, and code integration in an enterprise development environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Prior experience developing printer firmware.
• Programming language certification in Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or a similar language.
