Senior Consultant, Enterprise Incident Management (Enterprise Resiliency Office) (Financial Services): Coordinating the full lifecycle of business-impacting incidents in a global 24x7 follow-the-sun environment with an accent on escalation, stakeholder communications, service restoration, and operational resilience. Focus on leading cross-functional response efforts, facilitating post-incident reviews, tracking remediation, and strengthening incident management frameworks and controls.

Location: Melbourne, Australia; hybrid work with three days in the office each week as the standard. Remote work may be approved for the selected candidate. The role includes rotating holiday and weekend coverage within a 24x7 follow-the-sun operating model.

What you will do

  • Monitor, assess, and coordinate responses to actual or potential business-impacting incidents across the enterprise.
  • Activate response teams, manage escalation processes, and lead cross-functional efforts involving business units, technology, risk, compliance, and legal stakeholders.
  • Maintain situational awareness, assess business impacts and risks, and drive incidents through resolution and closure.
  • Prepare timely communications for senior leadership, impacted stakeholders, response teams, regulators, clients, vendors, and partners when required.
  • Maintain incident records, metrics, reports, trend analysis, and management information in line with governance requirements.
  • Facilitate post-incident and after-action reviews, track remediation, and improve incident management frameworks, playbooks, controls, and response readiness.

Requirements

  • 4–12 years of experience in financial services, custody operations, operational resilience, business continuity, incident management, risk, control, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of incident management, operational resilience, business continuity, or related risk and control frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of custody, custody operations, asset management, banking, or broader financial services operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple incidents simultaneously in a high-pressure environment and work across global, cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and senior stakeholder briefing skills.
  • Availability for rotating holiday and weekend coverage as part of a 24x7 incident response model.
