Senior Accountant – Treasury Support

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; hybrid work between the office and home. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.

Salary: $83,100–$141,300 USD per year, plus potential discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Prepare and review journal entries and provide accounting guidance for treasury and liquidity reporting.
• Analyze net interest income, investigate variances, and communicate key drivers to management.
• Support the global month-end close, including account reconciliations.
• Assist with SEC reporting, including annual 10-K and quarterly 10-Q footnotes.
• Participate in treasury projects involving system implementations, product launches, and accounting policy changes.
• Partner with Treasury, Corporate Accounting, SEC Reporting, IT, Internal Audit, and external auditors while improving processes and controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably with treasury products.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills; data analytics tools are a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced global environment.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls.

Nice to have

• Experience with treasury-related systems and subledgers.
• Banking or financial institution experience.
• Experience in a publicly traded company or multinational corporation.
• Knowledge of multi-currency environments and foreign currency translation.
