Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant - Part Time - Bilingual Spanish (Eye Care)

What you will do

• Conduct patient pre-screenings, preliminary examinations, and vision tests before the optometrist's examination.
• Complete required paperwork and carefully review prescriptions and patient information.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients.
• Explain preliminary examinations clearly and provide high-quality patient care.
• Maintain a professional doctor’s office and pretest room environment.
• Maintain doctor’s and pretest equipment and consult with opticians, doctors, or retail management about special needs.

Requirements

• Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge, ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations.
• Clear and concise customer communication skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Previous retail or optical experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.
