What you will do

• Provide high-quality patient care and maintain a professional doctor’s office and pretest room.
• Perform exam pre-screening, preliminary examinations, and testing before the doctor’s examination.
• Explain examination procedures clearly and promote visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients.
• Complete paperwork, review prescriptions and patient information, and identify special patient needs.
• Consult with the optician, doctor, or retail management when necessary.
• Maintain doctor’s and pretest equipment.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge, ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations.
• Ability to give customers clear and concise instructions.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Professional attitude and appearance.

• Previous retail or optical experience.
