Sr. Financial Analyst - Business Unit Financial Analysis (Asset Management)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; hybrid work model with time split between the office and home

What you will do

• Support asset management business-unit financial reporting, including income statements, carve-outs, and key performance metrics.
• Build relationships with business-unit stakeholders and coordinate financial performance reporting with finance subject-matter experts.
• Support month-end close and reporting by analyzing results against prior periods, prior year, and plan, and researching performance variances.
• Respond to ad hoc business-unit requests for financial analysis and reporting.
• Participate in forecasting, strategic planning, and annual planning cycles.
• Manage reporting enhancements and related system implementation projects to improve business insights.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in FP&A, management reporting, strategic planning, or a related finance role.
• Strong financial and accounting knowledge, business acumen, analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends and performance drivers, and derive meaningful business insights.
• Experience preparing management or board presentations and communicating financial information to diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Office 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Copilot.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft, HFM, TM1/Cognos, or similar financial accounting and reporting systems, plus experience with business intelligence tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Industry knowledge in asset management or financial services.
