Accounting Manager (SOX Compliance)

Location: Hybrid role requiring 3–4 days per week in the Faribault, Minnesota office; approximately 5% travel.

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 annually, plus annual bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance across multiple brands and sites.
• Coordinate internal and external audit requests and act as a primary auditor contact.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements across multiple ledgers and ERP systems.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, unusual transactions, variances, and control issues.
• Improve and standardize accounting processes, controls, and reporting to support efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Support accounting professionals by setting priorities, delegating work, mentoring team members, and contributing to strategic projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or industry.
• Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, audit coordination, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, analytical and communication skills, and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and collaborate across a dynamic, matrixed organization.
• Strategic application of artificial intelligence tools and technologies to improve business outcomes and operational efficiency.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or construction industry experience.
• International financial experience and technical accounting expertise.
• Experience with SAP, JDE, Epicor, or similar ERP platforms.
• CPA or similar professional qualification.
