Software Engineering Intern (Embedded)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; mostly office-based and in engineering labs

Salary: €800–€850 per month, prorated for any part-time working agreement

What you will do

• Contribute to projects involving energy, charging, battery, and connected power technologies.
• Develop, test, and refactor software or firmware in C, C++, or Python for embedded processors.
• Research and evaluate technologies to improve product performance and reliability.
• Document designs, specifications, and test results.
• Work under the supervision of an engineering mentor on project-based deliverables and, where applicable, thesis requirements.
• Support field testing when required.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a HAVO, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, ICT, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Availability to work primarily in an office and engineering laboratory environment in Amsterdam.

Nice to have

• Experience with a source control system such as Git.
• Basic knowledge of embedded device design and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies.
