Senior Electronics Lead (Embedded)

Location: Bray, Dublin, Ireland; full-time role primarily based in the Bray office with hybrid working available

What you will do

• Lead and support client projects across the product development lifecycle, from concept electronics platforms to working demonstrators and released products.
• Develop consumer-focused embedded system architectures that partition functions between hardware and software.
• Translate product visions into realizable electronics architectures in collaboration with product and marketing teams.
• Design and integrate battery-powered embedded platforms, wearable technologies, wireless communications, and battery management solutions.
• Work across electronics, mechanical design, and embedded software boundaries in multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and communicate complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Significant technical expertise and consultancy experience in electronics and embedded product development.
• Strong embedded software skills, especially low-level C coding, device drivers, and platform bring-up.
• Excellent understanding of low-power processors, wireless communications SoCs, and wired or wireless battery management.
• Experience delivering designs through the full product lifecycle, including consumer research trials and market release.
• Understanding of EU and US regulatory requirements and designing consumer electronics for compliance with applicable standards.
• PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or a related subject.

Nice to have

• Experience with Nordic microcontrollers and Zephyr RTOS.
• Previous work in consumer electronics.
• Additional qualifications relevant to the area of expertise.
