Employee Relations Advisor (Retail): Supporting HR Business Partners and managers with employee relations cases, employment legislation, absence management, disciplinary processes, grievances, appeals, redundancies, and organisational change with an accent on confidential case management, compliance, and people leadership. Focus on resolving complex employee relations matters, managing absence and redundancy processes, and using people metrics to improve organisational performance.
Location: Meadow Lane, Shirebrook, Mansfield, UK; onsite five days a week at the Shirebrook HQ

What you will do
- Support HR Business Partners with proactive, generalist guidance on employee relations matters.
- Advise employees and managers on company policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Handle disciplinary, grievance, appeal, absence management, and redundancy cases.
- Coach and upskill managers in people management and employee relations practices.
- Manage an allocated employee relations caseload and monitor related KPIs and trends.
- Support organisational change, new structures, and process implementation across departments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar employee relations or HR role.
- Experience handling disciplinary, grievance, appeal, absence management, and redundancy cases.
- Current knowledge of employment legislation, including GDPR.
- Strong discretion, confidentiality, communication, interpersonal, stakeholder, and change management skills.
- Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks, solve problems, and work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Good analytical and systems skills with a customer-focused approach.

Hiring process
