What you will do

• Lead and participate in structural design for packaging and display projects from concept analysis through production.
• Translate customer, sales, and project requirements into visually effective, structurally sound, and cost-effective designs.
• Create structural prototypes, product mock-ups, three-dimensional drawings, technical drawings, photographs, renderings, and assembly instructions.
• Prepare finished digital artwork, high-resolution images, and production files.
• Manage prototypes and electronic files through design, production, assembly, and placement.
• Coordinate with agencies, art services, printers, and other external partners, including patent searches and product patenting activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the work, plus 5+ years of relevant packaging design experience.
• Strong ability to analyze critical elements, variables, and alternatives and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, prioritization, and business judgment skills.
• Strong knowledge of prepress production, manufacturing equipment, processes, and capabilities.
• Proficiency with packaging and design software including AutoCAD, QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Very good knowledge of prototyping equipment and ability to mentor junior team members in relevant tools and systems.
